Loes van Schaijk - Solo
Originally from the Netherlands, Loes van Schaijk is a singer-songwriter and instrumentalist based in Prague, Czech Republic. In European bluegrass and folk circles, she is praised for her heartfelt vocal delivery, natural sound, intricate songwriting, and solid sense of rhythm and groove. Because of her talent for storytelling and connection to the audience, people have compared her style to June Tabor, Joni Mitchell, Sandy Denny, Tracy Chapman, and - oddly enough - Nick Cave. Loes made her solo debut with All I Ever Really Seem To Say in November, 2021.
Loes's first single "Being Here" has been translated into Czech ("Není se vůbec čeho bát") and Bulgarian "Da budesch tuk") and is an audience favorite for its relatability and comforting message.
