Originally from the Netherlands, Loes van Schaijk is a singer-songwriter and instrumentalist based in Prague, Czech Republic. She is the winner of Porta 2021 and Interporta 2022 in the Czech Republic and runner-up of Sofia Singer Songwriter Fest 2022 in Bulgaria.

Familiar face? Loes has been active on the European new acoustic music and vocal harmony scenes since 2005 with the bands Waterflow, Lucy & The Man, and Red Herring and has collaborated with top-notch musicians such as Svaťa Kotas, Jan Řepka, Ondra Kozák and Ralph Schut, 4 Wheel Drive, Tennessee Studs, The Often Herd, Rí Ra, Tanah Broadcast, and many more.

 

After her solo debut All I Ever Really Seem To Say in 2021, Loes recently released the singles "Není se vůbec čeho bát (Being Here) and "Princezna" with Loes & The Acoustic Engineers featuring Anna Marie Hradecká. “Princezna” won the Golden Award in the hit parade Česká dvanáctka on Czech national radio, stayed in the hit parade for 19 weeks, and was the #1 hit six times.

 

Loes performs solo, as a duo with Honza Bartošek, or with her trio Loes & The Acoustic Engineers.
